Zenaida Bengco
IP Clerk

Zenaida has 23 years of experience in IP in the Philippines and over 4 years of experience in Canada. She has worked as a Patent Researcher, Patent Specialist, Patent Examiner, and Patent Agent in the Philippines, and as an IP clerk in Canada. She has completed IP training primarily in patents from the China Intellectual Property Office, European Patent Office, Japanese Patent Office, World Intellectual Property Organization, and other foreign IP offices. She also has received training in IP from Patent Examiners from IP Australia and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Public Management in Philippines.

Indra Fernando
IP Administrator

Indra has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Certificate in Fundamental Skills Strategies for Investigation and Conciliation of Human Rights Complaints, and is also a member of The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. Before entering the field of Intellectual Property, Indra has worked as a Law Clerk for various leading firms in Toronto for over 14 years. Indra has extensive knowledge of preparing, filing and prosecution of patent applications filed within the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as PCT International applications and other foreign patent applications for various foreign countries.

Zoya Tchokrev
IP Clerk

Zoya is a senior IP clerk with over 25 years of experience in intellectual property. She worked as a legal assistant before entering the field of IP. She has extensive experience in preparing, filing and managing patent applications in Canada and worldwide for national and multi-national companies. Zoya has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Philosophy and a Certificate in Criminology from the University of Toronto.

Van Quan
Support Team Manager

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Toronto, Van is also a graduate of the Court and Tribunal (Paralegal) Program of Humber College. She has dedicated her career to the field of Intellectual Property for over 20 years. Working in various roles (IP Assistant, IP Clerk, Team Lead and Manager), Van has been exposed to the entire patent prosecution process and has extensive experience in preparing, filing and prosecution of patent applications filed in Canada, US, WIPO and internationally.
