Kristjan joined Perry + Currier shortly after completing his engineering degree at the University of Guelph, where he specialized in biomechanics and medical devices. He has been a registered patent agent since 2008, and practices directly before the Canadian and U.S. patent offices on behalf of clients ranging from consumer product and software start-ups to major firms in telecommunications and other high tech industries.
Kristjan is experienced in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in software, communications, mechanical and medical device technologies. In addition to handling international patent portfolios and providing strategic advice on their management, Kristjan provides support in patent litigation matters and commercial transactions involving patents.
Kris is a lecturer on patent law at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, Patent Law course as well as a lecturer on claim drafting at the FICPI claim drafting clinic.
